PRIVACY POLICY

Purpose of data processing

We collect and process personal data solely for our own purposes, in fulfilment of the agreed contractual object. No data is sent by us to any third party, except when in fulfilment of contractual obligations following consent of clients e.g. to banks, and in fulfilment of legal obligations of the contractual object, e.g. the transfer of data to fiscal authorities or social security bodies. We handle your personal data with strict confidentiality. Insofar as personal data is handled by a processor, e.g. Datev eG, the latter is obliged to provide sufficient guarantees that suitable technical and organisational measures are implemented such that processing takes place consistently with the requirements of the GDPR and the BDSG and guarantees protection of the rights of the person concerned.

How do we use your data?

We use the data provided by you:
To inform you of items and project contracts that we believe may be of interest to you.
To maintain our business relationship with you as a user of our website.
By way of marketing communications for the purpose of keeping you up to date on products and services that may be relevant to your professional interests and that are offered either by us or by another firm within our group of companies. These may include information on customer information events held by us, current market information, new smart products, etc.
To fulfil our obligations arising from contracts concluded between you and us.

Legal bases for data processing pursuant to Article 6 of the EU GDPR

Data is processed in fulfilment of the concluded service contract or in performance of precontractual measures.

Rights of persons affected:

Right to information, and change of data
Upon request, we will provide you without charge of information as to the extent and origin of data stored and the purpose of its storage. Should any incorrect data be stored despite our efforts towards the correctness and currency of data, we will correct it at your request.

Contacts
Please send any enquiries, declarations or queries regarding data use to welcome@rastal.com or to the postal address given above.

Right of deletion, revocation, storage duration
You have the right to demand that personal data concerning you is immediately deleted. Personal data is only stored until such time as the purpose for which it was provided to us has been fulfilled.
You may object to the aforementioned use and/or processing of your data or withdraw your consent, as the case may be. Upon receipt of your objection or withdrawal of consent, we will cease to use and process the data concerned, immediately desist from sending any further advertising materials and/or no longer use your data for advertising purposes.

Log files
When you visit our website, the device from which you retrieved the page automatically transfers log files (connection data) to our provider’s server. Log files contain, for instance, the IP address of the device that you are using to access the website or service, the type of browser accessing it, the website that you visited previously, your system configuration, and date and time information. Our provider only stores IP addresses to the extent necessary for performing the services. Otherwise, IP addresses are deleted or anonymised. As such, IP addresses of visitors to these web pages are rendered anonymous shortly after terminating the connection.

Hyperlinks
Our website may contain links to other websites that are outside our control range and are not subject to this data protection declaration. Should you access other websites via the links provided, it may be that the operators of the other websites collect information about you and use it in accordance with their own data protection guidelines, which may differ from our provisions.

Security measures
We have the relevant technical and organisational measures in place to guarantee the security of your information and to protect it from unauthorised access, manipulation or destruction.

Contact forms

When the required data is entered in contact forms, we store such information, such as your name and postal and e-mail addresses, until your enquiry has been fully dealt with. We do not use your data for any other purpose other than dealing with your enquiry. Upon sending your information by way of a contact form, you are at the same time giving your consent to us storing your data in our system and subjecting it to further processing.
Please note that the transmission of data in the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) is susceptible to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to provide complete protection of data against access by a third party.

Newsletter

By stating your e-mail address, you agree to receive the Newsletter of RASTAL GmbH & Co. KG. You will receive a confirmation e-mail in which you verify that you are the holder of the given e-mail address and that you agree to receive the Newsletter. The Newsletter is sent by e-mail and contains information about new products and offers as well as news of events and general news. We will not make your personal data that we process for distribution of the Newsletter available to a third party. You may unsubscribe from the Newsletter at any time with effect for the future by sending an e-mail to (info@rastal-newsletter.de) or directly here.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that third-party content, such as videos on YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online offer. This always requires the provider of such content (referred to in the following as ‘third-party providers’) to make use of a user’s IP address. Without the IP address, they would be unable to send the content to the respective user’s browser. This means that the IP address is necessary for the presentation of this content. We endeavour only to use content whose provider uses the IP address solely for delivering the content. However, we have no influence over third-party providers storing IP addresses, for instance, for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of this, we will notify users accordingly.

Cookies

When you visit one of our websites, it is possible that information is stored on your computer in the form of ‘cookies’. Cookies enable us, for example, to adapt a website in accordance with your interests, or to save your password, so that you do not have to enter it again each time. If you do not wish us to recognise your computer, please set your Internet browser to delete cookies from your hard drive, to block all cookies, or to warn you before a cookie is saved.

Google Analytics (web analysis/tracking)

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable analysis of your use of the website. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to perform further services associated with use of the website and of the Internet vis-à-vis the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your web browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being stored by making the corresponding setting in your browser software: however, we would point out that if you do so, it is possible that you will not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Moreover, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) as well as from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively to the browser plugin, you may click this link, to prevent Google Analytics from recording your data on this website in the future. In this process, an opt-out cookie will be stored on your end-user device. If you clear your cookies, you will have to click the link again.

Social media networks

Parts of our Internet site use a Recommend button for the Facebook social media site. If you activate this Recommend button, you will be directed to the provider’s website, where you will be asked to log into your user account. Once you have logged into your account at the respective service, your personal data may be associated with our Internet site and processed by the provider, and it may be used by the provider for advertising purposes.
